The night Lume earned his name
It was a normal night. Lume and his human were heading out to his favourite park. The moment they stepped into the garden, the dog next door saw him, broke through the fence and charged straight at Lume.
His human jumped in to protect him, and the dog locked its jaws on his hands. He couldn't break free. That's when Lume, facing a dog three times his size, did what nobody expected: he fought back, biting again and again until the other dog let go.
Lume never left his side. His human ended up in the ER with two badly injured fingers. When he came home, Lume was waiting at the door, sad and happy at the same time.
Since that night, every single night, Lume patrols every window of the house, making sure everyone is safe.
Lume means “fire” in Galician. Now you know why.
